Sea World Exihibits
Of course there is more to Sea World than just
shows. There are many exhibits all through out
the park. One exhibit that really stood out to
me is the Shark Encounter. This exhibit takes you on
an adventure into the deep. Here you can see all
of the world’s greatest predators. From the
poisonous lionfish to a dangerous reef shark!
There is also moving walkway that takes you
through a glass tube and above you are vicious
man eating predators. As you venture through the
tunnel you will smell food drifting through the
air. This is from the
Sharks Underwater Grill restaurant that is on the
other side of the large tank.
Another great exhibit is the
Penguin Encounter. As you walk inside of this snowy
wonderland you can see the different type’s
penguins and puffins. What is particularly
interesting about this exhibit is the bi level
view of the penguin’s habitat. You can see the
underwater world and the above ground view.
If you‘re not really into the ice and snow, how
about a trip to the
Manatee Rescue? Here you can catch a glimpse of these slow moving
sea cows that are native to the warm waters of
Florida
.
Inside this brackish water estuary are six full
grown females that share their home with gar and
other brackish water fish. There are males but
they are kept in the back for breeding purposes.
Our next stop on our Sea World journey is the
Dolphin Cove. This exhibit is home to over twelve
Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. Here you can feed
these wonderful animals and watch them in a
controlled environment. If seeing them from the
surface is not enough you can check out the
underwater view for an exciting view through the
dolphin’s eyes. Just outside of the
Dolphin Cove is the
Dolphin Nursery. There are several new born dolphins
that were raised within Sea World. These cute
little creatures are here to learn about you and
for you to learn about them.
Moving on to the next step of the adventure is
the Sting Ray Bay. This gives the guest in
the park a chance to see and feel these
large flat animals. They range from tiny to
monstrous and they all are in the same
viewing area. In this area there are more
than just powerful stingrays there are also
exotic birds that call this place home.
