Busch
Entertainment Corporation opened
Aquatica on March 1st in
2008, and ever since the theme park
struck the Orlando area as an
instant attraction.
Located just across the
street from SeaWorld this theme park
is side by side with another large
under the sea theme park.
During the first year the
park was visited by nearly 950,000
guests, putting the park on the
board as one of Orlando Florida’s
major attractions.
The park is currently the
largest water park in Florida, and
has a wide variety of rides and live
entertainment.
The rides inside the park are
some of the newest and most
innovative in the business, meaning
that the park is top notch!
Some
of the parks most innovative rides
are the Dolphin Plunge and Tassie’s
Twister.
Each is a brand new idea that
has never been seen before in a
water park.
The Dolphin Plunge slide goes
directly underwater, and through a
dolphin tank, something that has
never before been attempted.
Among the incredible rides
are also two side by side Wave pools
covering nearly 80,000 square feet.
Having two wave pools back to
back allows the park to control set
both the tanks at different wave
heights, to appease all the
participants.
Unlike many of the current water
parks in the Central Florida area,
Aquatica has zones that pertain to
age specific activates.
It has two kids’ playgrounds,
one for each age category, starting
from mother and toddlers leading to
playgrounds for anyone.
For this reason Aquatica is
accepted by all ages, this isn’t a
theme park you want to miss!
